Sissy's Felt Club - One-of-a-kind wool felt children accessories by Costume Designer Sara Jane Slotnick. Sara Jane Slotnick started off her career in New York in the early 1990's when the indie film world was just gaining momentum. After receiving her Master's Degree in Painting and living in New York for the first time, she designed her first feature film called Postcards From America with Michael Imperioli and was hooked on the excitement of costume design for movies. She moved to Hollywood and began to combine her painting/artistic background with her sewing skills to make a line of felt accessories including purses, belts, hairpieces and baby slippers. The whole idea behind using felt was to encompass the idea of handmade, hand-crafted quilts where each stitch and idea are conceived out of love and based on things that are made as a one-of-a-kind item. The "Cubbies" line of baby slippers is actually based on her lovely dog Cubbie, whose face inspired the dog and bone motif on the slippers.
Sara Jane continues to work on movies such as "Death Race", Alpha Dog, The Astronaut Farmer and most recently "The Job", directed by playwright Shem Bitterman.
