Michele Michel : I get inspired by Nature and Art, and love to create pieces that have a meaning .
Sometimes a flower, a heart, a symbol of some kind that reminds me about someone special. The swimwear jewelry idea, came to me at a workshop that Swarovski Crystals provided to Costume Designers, and I wondered if I could attach the crystals to neoprene. It was a hit or miss, not knowing if it was possible. My first cuff, which I still wear, has been a hit, and I had so many requests that I decided to start a mini collection for glamorous mermaids

Nothing sparkles like crystals, and this cuff was made to shine.

I always wanted to have a piece of jewelry that I could wear to the beach, to a pool party, and not be afraid of loosing it, or ruining it with the salt and chlorine. The very first one I made has the words - SPEED- on it, and I wear it to work, to remind me of the economics of time management. I also have others with the words - THRIVE- LOVE-GLITZ- PEACE- MAMACITA- and so on. I like to wear them to get me in the mood of whatever I'm doing or feeling.
